The Sunoco Neighbor Task Force (NTF) met between 2003 and 2006 as a sub-committee of the Community Advisory Panel (CAP). It was created with the help of CAP members so that citizens who live directly adjacent to the Sunoco Toledo refinery would have regular opportunities to meet with refinery officials and share ideas and feedback.
For 2 1/2 years, members met with refinery representatives and community experts on a variety of topics including environmental stewardship, plant operations and how they affect the neighborhood, and other issues as determined by the neighbors.
Many NTF members are currently serving on the CAP.
