Social Responsibility

We have a long and productive tradition of helping improve the quality of life in the communities in which we work and live. We are committed to being a responsible citizen in all areas in which the company's businesses impact the public.

In 1993, Sunoco was the first Fortune 500 company to endorse an environmental code of conduct called the CERES Principles (the Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies), a commitment to make continuous improvement in our health, environmental and safety performance, to be collaborative in interacting with external stakeholders and to be publicly accountable for our HES performance through publishing an annual report, our HES/CERES Report.
